God wil Make it Up to You

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

Sometimes we go through stages in our lives when we feel sorrow for certain losses we’ve experienced—jobs we didn’t get, relationships that didn’t work out, or loved ones that left us. It’s not uncommon for us to get feelings as to “why” God would allow such things to happen—but there is a reason for it, and we don’t need to always understand “why,” but instead  know that when we trust in the promises God has made to us, in all circumstances, He can do amazing things. The Bible tells us that not a single one of our tears goes unnoticed by God (Psalm 56:8), and that "those who plant in tears will reap harvests of joy" (Psalm 126:5).

You can be sure that every pain and loss you’ve experienced, God will make it up to you if you keep trusting in Him, and the promises and blessings He has in store for you.

Today, God wants you to know this specific promise He has made to you: In Zechariah 9:12 He says, “I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.”

Don't Look Back

“I am putting all my energies into this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.” (Philippians 3:13)
When we let go of something or give something up, it’s not uncommon to feel tempted to look back on “the good old days.” But God’s word promises that He has even better things in store for our future: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, they are plans for good and not evil, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”  (Jeremiah 29:11) So don’t worry or fret when things don’t seem to be going your way, understand that God’s plans for your life far surpass anything you could do on your own!
As Victoria Osteen says, “Where you are going is more important than where you have been, that’s why your windshield is bigger than your rearview mirror!” So don’t look back on things that “could have been,” don’t live life through the rearview mirror (or you may crash!) Instead, set your eyes straight ahead, on Christ as your strength, because the future God has in store for you is “beyond what you could even begin to ask, dream of, or imagine!” (Ephesians 3:20)
"Look straight ahead: don’t even turn your head to look!" Proverbs 4:23

God Will Make it Up to You

“Whoever holds on to his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” -Matthew 16:25
Sometimes we want to hold on tightly to certain things in our life we know are not beneficial to our life and future, are hindering our walk with God, and preventing us from reaching all the goodness that He wants for our lives. We hold on to certain habits, certain relationships and friendships, finances, or careers, out of fear that if we let go of them, God will fail to make it up to us or bless us with something even better. However, nothing could be farther from the truth. It is when we decide to finally let go, surrender, and trust God with all that we have (relationships, finances, habits, decisions) that He blesses our life in unimaginable ways. When you make the choice to finally let go of your own will, and trust in His Ultimate plan for your life, you open the doors for amazing blessings and miracles to take place. You open the doors for a supernatural power to work in your life like never before! Although letting go of our own will may not always be easy, God’s promise to us is that it will always be worth it!
So my friend, whatever you may be struggling with to let go of in your life, know that whatever you surrender and give to God, that He is able to bless you with 100 times, even 1000 times better than what you had before. Let go, trust in Him, and I promise you’ll be so glad you did!!
“Even if you should suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it, so don’t be afraid or worried.” 1 Peter 3:14
